Focus of Research

Dr. Mendler (*1989) works in the field of structural dynamics and vibration analysis of structures. He specialized on the analysis of ambient vibrations, operational modal analysis and vibration-based structural health monitoring. The goal of his research is to develop new methods for the performance assessment and quality control of monitoring systems.

  • Vibration analysis of structures
  • Automated damage detection and localization
  • Structural health monitoring
  • Optimal sensor placement
  • Performance assessment of monitoring systems
