New visiting researcher at the chair

On 14 April 2021, Guowei Bo joined our team as a visiting PhD student at the Chair of Materials Engineering of Additive Manufacturing. He has a background in College of Materials Science and Engineering from the Hunan University and has been working on the relationship between microstructures and mechanical properties of Al alloys since he became a PhD candidate, especially the precipitation evolutions, the dynamic and static softening behaviors as well as the related modeling in Al-Cu-Mg-Zr alloys. At TUM he is anticipated to conduct research on additive manufacturing of metallic materials, with particular interests in the microstructure, mechanical properties and thermal stability of additively manufactured Al-Cu-Mg alloys.
