Research Project
2025 – M.Sc. Thesis: Geomechanical inversion of carbon storage data using ensemble-based inversion methods, with applications to post-injection monitoring of carbon storage sites. In collaboration with ETH Zürich and the IDEA League.
2024 – Application of a machine learning framework to data from hydraulic stimulations in boreholes to investigate induced seismicity and reservoir response in geothermal systems. In collaboration with the Bedretto Laboratory at ETH Zürich.
2023 – Microseismic monitoring of the Illinois Basin – Decatur Project (IBDP) using shear-wave splitting analysis to evaluate fracture development and seismic anisotropy during the post-injection phase of a carbon storage site. In collaboration with Los Alamos National Laboratory (LANL) and the U.S. Department of Energy (DOE).
2023 – Determination of anisotropy in rock samples from the Eiger Rift using laboratory-derived ultrasonic measurements. In collaboration with Purdue University.
